Drainage Surveys

What are Drainage Surveys?

A drainage assessment of a facility is needed where construction works are taking place or where the existing system is clearly failing. Failures can take the form of surface water flooding/puddling and surcharged foul water chambers where pipe work is blocked. In extreme cases, surface visible subsidence or collapse can be found where leaking drainage systems wash away finer materials in the subsurface leaving voids.

A full drainage system survey will identify issues and allow targeted repairs or informed replacement of defective parts.

Where new construction is taking place, the information collected through a drainage survey can be used to determine capacity of the existing system. Can the infrastructure present cope with an increased load or does this need to be addressed prior to adding further load to the system?
